Learning Support Partner

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team at a partner secondary school in Cramlington. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with specific learning needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide individual or small group support to pupils in class, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
- Deliver intervention programmes to individual pupils or small groups, using a range of strategies to support their learning.
- Work with teachers to set and review targets, and update pupil passports to track progress.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable, but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative and problem-solving skills to support pupils.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.
