Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team as a Learning Support Assistant. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual or small group support to pupils in class, focusing on social, emotional, or academic targets.
  • Deliver intervention programmes to individual pupils or small groups, promoting effective learning and development.
  • Support the setting and reviewing of targets, as well as updating pupil passports, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each pupil's needs.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of pupils and their families, with a strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
