Additional Information

Shift pattern consists of 3 days on/3 days off. - Times:

Reporting to the Chef Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Chef Manager in overseeing all aspects of catering services and ensuring high-quality food delivery.
  • Supervising the catering team during shifts.
  • Ensuring adherence to food safety and health & safety regulations.
  • Minimizing food waste during meal preparation and utilizing kitchen equipment safely.

Essential knowledge & experience:

  • Intermediate or Level 3 food hygiene certification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of health & safety legislation, including COSHH and food safety standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in culinary and personnel management.
  • Basic awareness of dietary needs for the elderly.
  • Proficient in the safe operation of kitchen tools and equipment.

Key skills required:

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, organize tasks, and prioritize effectively.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and deliver meals according to established menus.
  • Flexible, innovative, and capable of working both collaboratively and independently.
