The Operations Supervisor position is centered around organization within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, aimed at guaranteeing a positive experience for all our patrons, whether they are visiting our retail space, participating in a Brewery Tour, or utilizing our unique venues for events. As a member of a team of six, you will collaborate closely with our tour guides and assistants, as well as internal partners in our Property, Brewing, and Retail divisions.

  • Full-time working hours, spread across Monday to Sunday, including evenings. Actual hours will vary based on the role's requirements and will be communicated in advance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the daily management of all Visitor Centre spaces and operational delivery
  • Ensure a welcoming front-of-house presence for team members and customers at all times
  • Support in identifying opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth
  • Identify new sales opportunities to maximize business development
  • Build relationships with new and existing clients to encourage repeat business
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding future bookings
  • Assist in the execution of our functions and events, from room setup to closure
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in a similar capacity, particularly in hospitality or front-of-house roles
  • Conscientious with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service for memorable events
  • Friendly and approachable, capable of effectively managing challenging conversations with external stakeholders, both in writing and verbally
  • Diligent with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook) with strong data analytical skills
  • Organized to effectively prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced and agile environment, assisting with other tasks as needed
  • Willingness to cover other departmental responsibilities or assist as required

As Britain's oldest brewer, Shepherd Neame has been rooted in the market town of Faversham, Kent for over 300 years. An independent family business, we proudly operate an award-winning visitor centre and more than 300 pubs and hotels throughout London and the South East, from the historic heart of the City to the Kent coastline.
