Shepherd Neame is on the lookout for a Culinary Specialist to become a vital part of our kitchen brigade. If you are an emerging or enthusiastic chef eager for a new opportunity to develop your culinary skills, this position could be the perfect fit for you.

Situated in Bearsted, near Maidstone, the Oak on the Green is nestled on one of England's most picturesque village greens. Established in 1665, this venue has welcomed notable figures, including the renowned Baroness Orczy, creator of the Scarlet Pimpernel. Today, the Oak on the Green is celebrated for its commitment to sourcing local ingredients, offering a diverse menu that features both British and Mexican dishes.

We recognize that exceptional chefs are essential to a thriving kitchen environment. In this role, you will collaborate with our friendly and supportive kitchen team to provide an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

While prior experience in catering is advantageous, we welcome candidates who may not have a background in the field. If you possess a passion for food, a positive attitude, and a strong sense of teamwork, we are prepared to provide you with the training and knowledge necessary to succeed.

Shepherd Neame, based in the market town of Faversham, Kent, has a rich history spanning over 300 years. As an independent family-run business, we proudly operate an award-winning visitor center and manage over 300 pubs and hotels across London and the South East. Our team comprises around 1,500 members across our pub estate and more than 270 at our Brewery and Support Office.
