About the Role

Spherical Search is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist to join our team in the field of aerosol formulation. As a key member of our Pharmaceutical Development team, you will be responsible for exercising scientific and technical expertise in the development of innovative and safe products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulation Development: Develop and optimize aerosol formulations for various pharmaceutical applications, including dry powder, liquid, and pressurized metered dose inhalers (pMDIs).
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams, including Business Development, Pharmaceutical Development, and Research and Development.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with customers, academic partners, and regulatory agencies to design and execute projects, and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Research and Development: Conduct novel research and development in the field of aerosol-based delivery technologies and associated disease state treatments.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead matrixed teams to solve critical problems, and contribute to the development of new inventions and intellectual property.
Requirements
  • Education: A first degree in a scientific, pharmacy, or relevant discipline, with a PhD in a relevant discipline being desirable.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in formulation development in the drug delivery field, particularly in peptides and/or proteins.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
