Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Operations Assistant to join our team at Château de Mercuès. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for supporting the Food and Beverage Operations Manager in the day-to-day running of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Management: Assist in the management of the menu, including drinks, and make suggestions to enhance the guest experience.
  • Guest Service: Provide exceptional service to guests, answering all queries and taking ownership of their requirements and food allergies.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures are in place and maintained in the department.
  • Operations Management: Assist in the management of the department's operations, including monitoring and maintaining procedures to ensure compliance with Relais Châteaux and Rosettes standards.
  • Financial Management: Assist in the management of the department's finances, including revenue generation and accounting.
  • HR Management: Assist in the management of the department's HR procedures, including ensuring that all necessary procedures are in place and maintained.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of traditional cocktails, spirits, and wine (qualification preferable). Service experience at a 2/3 Rosettes level.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative.
  • Teamwork: A dedicated team player with a natural passion and flair for the industry and food.
  • Qualifications: Ambition to succeed at the highest levels, with a calm and mature approach.
