Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welding Instructor to join our team at WEC Group Ltd. As a Welding Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality training to our apprentices, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their careers.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Level 3 Plate Welder standard to apprentices, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Develop and implement a smooth onboarding process for new apprentices, ensuring they feel welcome and supported throughout their training.
  • Instruct and train apprentices in various welding and fabrication techniques, using your expertise to help them develop their skills.
  • Assess apprentices' progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate skill development and improvement.
  • Work with the team to maintain workshop standards, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Maintain training facilities and equipment, adhering to Health & Safety policies to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
Requirements
  • Strong and competent welder/fabricator with a proven track record of delivering high-quality training.
  • Ability to work effectively, use your own initiative, and lead and manage others to achieve desired results.
  • Fully conversant with welding, fabrication, and able to read engineering drawings.
  • Pass an Enhanced DBS check, which will be paid for by the company.
