Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welding Instructor to join our team at WEC Group Ltd. As a Welding Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality training to our apprentices, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their careers.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assist in the delivery of the Level 3 Plate Welder standard to our apprentices, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • To ensure a smooth onboarding process for all new apprentices, providing a positive and productive learning environment.
  • To instruct and train apprentices in various welding and fabrication techniques, using your expertise to help them develop their skills.
  • To assess apprentices' progress and provide constructive feedback, helping them to identify areas for improvement and develop their skills further.
  • To assist with monitoring and maintaining workshop standards, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • To maintain training facilities and equipment, adhering to Health & Safety policies to ensure optimal functionality and safety for our apprentices.

Requirements

  • Strong and competent welder/fabricator with a proven track record of delivering high-quality training.
  • Ability to work effectively and use your own initiative, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to lead and manage others, with a focus on achieving desired results and developing the skills of your team.
  • Fully conversant with welding, fabrication, and able to read engineering drawings.
