About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Credit Management Leader to join our team at Metro Bank. As a key member of our Credit Operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Credit Controllers and ensuring they are demonstrating excellent behaviors and reaching team goals to support the overall team function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Credit Controllers, providing guidance and support to ensure they are meeting their performance targets and demonstrating excellent behaviors.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and present findings to the Head of Operations.
- Hold regular one-on-one meetings with team members, conduct performance reviews, and develop individual development plans to support their growth and development.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to support service delivery and risk management, ensuring that all activities are aligned with the bank's goals and objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in the research and implementation of new technologies to support business growth and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Previous leadership and Credit Control experience, with a strong understanding of Invoice Finance and its operations.
- Ability to drive change at both a tactical and strategic level, with a focus on improving processes and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality service to internal and external customers.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends, with a focus on improving business performance and reducing risk.
