As a Credit Controller and Cash Collection Specialist at Wilmington plc, you will be responsible for proactively contacting customers via phone and email to collect payments, working towards challenging cash collection targets. You will also be responsible for reconciling customer accounts, managing withholding tax and exchange rate differences, accurately identifying and allocating incoming cash, and initiating refunds for credit balances when necessary.
Account Management and Reconciliation
You will be responsible for managing ledger balances and relationships with business clients, identifying potential bad debts, escalating them to management for further action, and performing month-end reporting duties. You will also participate in regular discussions on process improvements and strategies, and attend group meetings as needed.
Customer Queries and Issue Resolution
You will be responsible for handling and resolving customer account queries, ensuring that the issue tracking system is kept up to date, while maintaining clear and concise notes in the credit control system. You will also be responsible for communicating with customers to resolve any issues or concerns they may have.
Risk Management and Escalation
You will be responsible for identifying potential bad debts and escalating them to management for further action. You will also be responsible for managing ledger balances and relationships with business clients, and performing month-end reporting duties.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a global organisation as a Credit Controller and Cash Collection Specialist. What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in B2B and B2C credit control, including reducing DSO and ledger balances. You must also have a minimum GCSE English and Maths grade C, and intermediate Excel and Word skills, including vlookups. Experience of using Business Central and Salesforce would be an advantage.
