About the Position: We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Retail Associate to become a vital part of our team at Adamas Lux. In this role, you will be tasked with executing transactions with precision, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring a tidy and well-organized checkout space. Your contributions are essential in fostering a pleasant shopping atmosphere for our clientele.

Primary Duties:

  • Welcome customers warmly and professionally as they enter the store and approach the checkout counter.
  • Process sales transactions accurately, including the handling of cash, credit, and debit card payments.
  • Provide receipts, refunds, credits, and change to customers as necessary.
  • Address customer inquiries, returns, and exchanges in line with store policies.
  • Keep the checkout area clean and organized, including restocking bags, receipt paper, and other necessary supplies.
  • Ensure precision in transaction processing and cash handling, balancing the cash register at the start and conclusion of each shift.
  • Assist in maintaining product displays near the checkout area and ensuring shelves are stocked.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet store objectives and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Monitor the checkout area for any potential security concerns and report them to management.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in retail or customer service is advantageous.
  • Prior experience as a cashier or in a customer service capacity is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of point-of-sale systems and cash handling.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
  • A positive demeanor, enthusiasm for retail, and a dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
