Health, Safety and Environmental Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Professional to join our team as a Site Lead. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, driving health, safety, and environmental excellence across two large sites.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective HSE strategies and policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with General Managers to drive change and improve safety performance, reporting to the Regional HSE Manager.
- Promote a culture of accountability and responsibility among employees, ensuring everyone is committed to HSE excellence.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to employees to ensure they understand and comply with HSE regulations and procedures.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including insurers and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and maintain a positive reputation.
- Investigate and report all accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor and report HSE key performance indicators, focusing on machinery safety and guarding as a priority.
- Support the senior leadership team in developing the annual HSE plan and implementing it on site.
- Proven experience in high-risk, fast-paced manufacturing environments, preferably in food, paper, packaging, or beverage manufacturing.
- Strong background in machinery safety and experience with environmental regulations, including consent to discharge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels.
- Robust character, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
