Job Summary:

The HSE Recruitment Network is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, customers, and the general public.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health, safety, and environmental procedures and best practices.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement the annual health, safety, and environmental plan.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to health, safety, and environmental performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, insurers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and minimize risk.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Essential Background:

  • High-risk, fast-paced manufacturing experience, preferably in food, paper, packaging, or beverage manufacturing.
  • Multisite experience or management of a large site.
  • Environmental experience, including consent to discharge.
