What We Seek:
We are in search of a skilled and knowledgeable Quality Auditor to enhance our expanding Technical team.

In this role, you will champion compliance and enhancements across all site processes and products, ensuring the production of safe and legally compliant items.

The ideal candidate will uphold and consistently elevate the technical standards established internally, by Hilton Food Group, and by our retail partners, serving as ambassadors for fostering a Quality Culture throughout the site.


Key Responsibilities:
Act as a deputy for the QA Supervisor during their absence. Mentor and assist in training key production personnel on food safety protocols. Promote food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across various risk areas, supporting the listeria management plan. Oversee the setup and programming of Metal Detectors, X-rays (where applicable), and checkweighers for both new and existing products, ensuring optimal settings. Assist in investigating and gathering data for internal incidents to facilitate thorough risk assessments and preventive measures. Aid in the management of coding, label oversight, and verification processes, promptly addressing issues with the relevant departments to ensure accuracy.
Conduct cross-checks of production documentation and verify Critical Control Point (CCP) records, ensuring that errors and training gaps are identified and communicated across shifts, with thorough investigations into deviations to support continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to both factory and product sampling plans, accurately collecting and logging samples (including water) and swabs as required. Perform 'Value Adding' GMP, post-hygiene, and compliance audits that reflect both adherence and ongoing improvement across the site.
Conduct CCP audits and disseminate results to broader teams during DRM meetings. Assist in updating and issuing internal specifications and approving new specifications as part of the New Product Development (NPD) process. Support the revision of production and technical documentation, ensuring the correct versions are utilized across relevant departments. Participate in the site's HACCP and TACCP teams. Facilitate the implementation of customer codes of practice, ensuring internal operations accurately reflect these standards. Ensure compliance with allergen verification and segregation controls across the site. Systematically and physically quarantine nonconforming stock in accordance with site protocols. Authorize concessions where process deviations cannot be controlled, applying root cause analysis to prevent standardization of these deviations and escalating major issues for approval.
Assist Quality Management in completing annual validations according to the defined schedule. Conduct monthly checks on glass and hard plastic items, reporting non-compliance to the relevant departments.
Execute traceability exercises as per the predefined schedule. Provide necessary documentation to support comprehensive investigations of customer complaints, including process traceability records and corrective actions. Conduct compliance and improvement audits against BRC and customer codes of practice according to the required schedule. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Technical/Quality department and across the broader organization. Attend NPD trials and generate reports highlighting insights and potential enhancements for future trials.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in Quality Assurance within a fast-paced chilled environment. Familiarity with retailer codes of practice. Proficiency in QA systems, with a focus on implementation and continuous enhancement.
