About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Development Manager to join our team at Abbatt Property Recruitment. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our residential developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Charge Management: Manage a 7 million service charge budget, ensuring effective cost control and review of expenditure and accounts.
  • Development Management: Oversee the delivery of effective service levels, acting as the representative towards customers, clients, and developers as appropriate.
  • Team Leadership: Identify and deliver on-going training needs to support the team, utilising internal and external methods and support.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and manage performance, setting guidelines, managing holiday/sickness absences, and organising shift cover.
  • Customer Service: Hold proactive customer/contractor and client meetings, ensuring issues are promptly administered and dealt with within agreed timeframes.
  • Complaints Handling: Investigate and respond to complaints, collaborating with the Regional Manager in Stage 2 complaints responses.
  • Health and Safety: Undertake required risk assessments, health and safety checks, and routine testing requirements.
  • Contractor Management: Support with the monitoring and supervision of contractors, carrying out works on and around the development.
  • Site Inspections: Carry out regular inspection audits of the site, taking/organising remedial action if required.
Requirements
  • Essential: Previous people manager experience (2 years), driver's license.
  • Desirable: Budget and service charge accounting experience, Level 2 or ATPI qualified or willing to work towards.
