About this Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our Insurance Solutions team as an Insurance Solutions Director. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing investment strategies that meet the needs of our insurance clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of our global investment platform and technology, and identify opportunities to enhance our service offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners and clients to design and deliver holistic solutions that meet their needs.
  • Engage with senior officers at insurance clients to understand their enterprise-wide priorities and provide guidance on how to manage their assets under insurance constraints.
  • Directly manage teams delivering advisory engagements focused on asset allocation, risk management, and platform intellectual property.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory and accounting regimes such as Solvency II, Solvency UK, and IFRS, and provide expertise to internal teams on their implications for investment strategy.
  • Support the development of insurance-focused research and thought leadership publications.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, gained within an insurance company, asset manager, investment bank, consultancy, or similar institution.
  • Significant experience in designing and implementing investment and ALM strategies for insurers.
  • Strong knowledge of the business models of UK insurance companies and the regulatory and accounting constraints under which they operate.
  • Familiarity with Solvency II and Solvency UK regulations, particularly the UK Matching Adjustment framework.
  • Good understanding of IFRS 9 and continental European local accounting regimes and their implications for insurance companies' investment strategies and asset allocation.
