We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Policy Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our accessibility team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our casework colleagues to work effectively with vulnerable and disabled individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert advice to colleagues on ways to work differently with vulnerable and/or disabled individuals who require reasonable adjustments.
  2. Offer guidance on the support available to individuals who need assistance, regardless of disability or vulnerability.
  3. Conduct research to identify knowledge gaps related to disability and vulnerability across the service and develop tailored training programs to improve accessibility.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to resolve problems and develop creative solutions to meet the needs of customers requesting reasonable adjustments.
  5. Communicate effectively with people at all levels, including senior stakeholders and customers, in a clear and approachable manner.
  6. Stay up-to-date with our approach to service complaints related to reasonable adjustments.
  7. Demonstrate an understanding of vulnerability and disability without requiring disclosure.
