About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst to join our team at the Financial Ombudsman Service. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for delivering changes and updates to our core suite of tools within Microsoft Power Platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of tools and enhancements.
  • Provide specialist direction on the development and maintenance of our casework tools, hosted on the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Work collaboratively with all areas of IT to build, test, and release new tools, as well as enhancements and bug fixes to existing tools.
  • Lead on the proactive identification and automation of processes, working with key stakeholders and the wider IT department to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Coach, mentor, and supervise System Analyst colleagues, promoting professional development and growth.
  • Train and engage with colleagues, designing complex casework tools and modeling technical options for key stakeholders.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Digital Systems Manager, assisting with planning future work and strategies.
  • Make key decisions when developing tools, critiquing logic and content, and deciding on fundamental behind-the-scenes rules structures.
Requirements
  • Strong experience of implementing and maintaining custom connectors with enterprise databases and CRM systems (Dynamics 365).
  • Experience with software development lifecycles, software development, or infrastructure for supporting software.
  • Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Database connections using SQL.
