Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological services to children and young people with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist assessment, formulation, and intervention to children and young people with mental health needs.
- Contribute to the development of service and therapeutic initiatives to improve outcomes for children and young people.
- Support the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) by offering consultation, supervision, and in-house training.
- Undertake care coordination responsibilities to ensure seamless care for children and young people.
- Offer clinical supervision and host training placements for the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) programme.
- Contribute to teaching on the DClinPsy programme to support the development of future clinical psychologists.
Within our CAMHS Outpatient service, you will work with a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), systemic, psychodynamic, narrative, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). You will also have opportunities to deliver group work as part of the group work programme, with training provided.
In our CAMHS Learning Disability team, you will work with children and young people who experience an Intellectual (Learning) Developmental Disability, and their families. You will take on responsibility for the supervision of Assistant Psychology colleagues and support the work of MDT colleagues.
In our CAMHS Eating Disorder team, you will work with children and young people with eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), and Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED). You will work within an MDT to provide group, individual, and family-based interventions, and have opportunities to train in NICE-recommended treatments such as adolescent-focused therapy and CBT-Enhanced.
