Position: Lead Catering Coordinator

Location: Wellingborough Campus, Northamptonshire

Compensation/Benefits: Starting salary from £24,000 based on experience and qualifications, 25 days of annual leave in addition to public holidays, participation in the Peoples pension scheme, discounts in retail and leisure, along with exceptional opportunities for professional and personal growth, including access to college courses.

Role Overview:

We are actively looking for a Lead Catering Coordinator to become part of The Bedford College Group at our Wellingborough Campus in Northamptonshire.

As a Lead Catering Coordinator, your responsibilities will include providing support and assistance to clients and fellow team members.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining the kitchen and dining facilities, ensuring the serviceability and security of tools and equipment, while adhering to Health and Safety regulations. Additionally, you will be responsible for presenting a professional image to all clients and serving food to established standards.

Candidate Profile:

  • Preferred candidates will possess:
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Proficiency in handling transactions via cash register and PDQ machine
  • Background in customer service
  • Allergen awareness training
  • Understanding of Health & Safety protocols in a catering setting
  • Skills in food preparation and cooking
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Access to personal transportation for travel to events and various locations.
  • Capability to perform frequent lifting tasks, such as handling catering supplies
