Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our client, a leading player in the dry food industry. As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the production of finished and semi-finished goods, as well as managing stock replenishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Closely work with the Demand Planner/Supply Chain Manager to ensure accurate forecasts are received and challenged where appropriate.
  • Determine and issue daily and weekly plans to the relevant areas in a timely manner.
  • Secure material substitutions where necessary.
  • Request concessions where required.
  • Request life extensions where required.
  • Request raw materials where required.
  • Run monthly capacity and labour analysis to highlight potential medium to long-term constraints.
  • Generate daily/weekly labour plans that optimize efficiency, minimize cost (yield loss), and satisfy customer demand.
  • Monitor finished goods and raw material stocks.
  • Ensure data information is correct for both imported and manufactured goods.
  • Communicate with Customer Services to highlight potential service issues in the short and medium term.
  • Manage all stock management and replenishment of the warehouse.
  • Report KPIs regularly.
  • Comply with health and safety, data protection, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Exhibit a strong customer service ethos and strive to exceed customer expectations.
  • Operate as an effective member of the supply chain team to help one another push the boundaries of business performance.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a planning position within a manufacturing/FMCG or supply chain environment.
  • Excellent understanding of logistics, stock controls, and business demands.
  • Ability to demonstrate a track record of managing business demands.
