Become a Shared Lives Support Provider
Are you driven by the desire to enhance the lives of others?
Wigan Council is on the lookout for empathetic individuals to take on the role of Shared Lives Support Providers for adults who require assistance.
In this role, you will offer various types of support arrangements according to your schedule and will be compensated based on the level of care you provide.
- Full-time placements: Long-term living situations that include gradual transitions and respite care.
- Respite or short-term care: Temporary accommodations for individuals needing brief support.
- Daytime assistance: Opportunities for shorter commitments centered around shared activities.
To be eligible as a Shared Lives Support Provider, you must be at least 18 years old, have an available bedroom, and be committed to helping individuals cultivate skills and relationships within their community.
In exchange for your commitment, you will gain friendships, receive compensation for your time, access to free training, and continuous support from our dedicated team.
