Job Overview

A unique opportunity has arisen for an Operational Programme Manager to lead the coordination and operational delivery of the Living Well programme in the Wigan Division. The successful candidate will work closely with key colleagues and partners across Wigan, as well as the GMMH Community Transformation Core Team and the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will play a key role in ensuring the implementation and delivery of the Living Well Programme Milestones, supporting the achievement of objectives and leading on specific work within the programme. They will also be responsible for developing, project managing, and delivering complex programmes with multiple work streams, taking direct responsibility for the successful delivery of all elements to agreed timescales and within an agreed budget.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in both health and social care
  • Experience of commissioning, performance managing, contract managing, and evaluating health and social care services
  • Previously responsible for a budget, involved in budget setting, and working knowledge of financial processes
  • Proven experience of successfully managing and delivering complex, high-value programmes using a structured programme management process and programme management methods, principles, techniques, and tools
  • Experience of working closely with service users and advocacy schemes
  • Proven skills in the development of alliances and partnerships
  • Proven ability in developing complex programme schedules that clearly define the timeline required to achieve the required outcomes
