Position Overview:
As a key member of the Communities and Social Policy Unit, you will play a pivotal role in shaping policies that enhance civic engagement and address social inequalities in London.

Unit Structure:
The Unit comprises four specialized teams: Community Engagement, Equalities, Financial Hardship, and Migration. Your work will focus on empowering underrepresented communities to ensure they have a voice and the necessary resources to thrive.

Role Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with your job-share partner in the Equalities team, working three days a week to manage the high-profile Workforce Integration Network program.
- Drive systemic change in London's labor market, focusing on increasing opportunities for marginalized groups, particularly Black Londoners and those of Pakistani and Bangladeshi descent.
- Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including governmental bodies, community organizations, and private sector partners, to inform policy development and implementation.
- Lead the design and execution of projects aimed at tackling workforce inequalities, aligning with the Mayor's strategic priorities.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with senior stakeholders across various sectors to enhance policy effectiveness and project outcomes.
- Oversee a sub-team dedicated to addressing labor market disparities, ensuring high performance and adherence to organizational standards.
- Manage procurement and contract processes related to program delivery.
- Stay informed on legislative and policy changes affecting labor market equality, proactively addressing emerging challenges.
- Contribute to corporate planning and performance management initiatives.
- Prepare comprehensive policy reports and briefings for senior leadership.
- Promote diversity and inclusion within the workplace, ensuring equal opportunities for all Londoners.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in social policy, particularly within the London context, with a focus on addressing inequalities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively, delivering results on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking capabilities, with a keen understanding of the political landscape.
- Excellent knowledge of key stakeholders in the social policy arena in London.
- Effective planning and organizational skills, with a commitment to high-quality outcomes.
