Hydrogen UK stands as the foremost trade association for the hydrogen sector in the UK, central to discussions regarding hydrogen's role in the energy transition. The organization has been key in formulating strategies and policy frameworks that will facilitate the scaling of hydrogen over the coming decade.

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Policy Advisor to join our dynamic and impactful team, reporting directly to the CEO at Hydrogen UK. The successful candidate will be vital in collaborating with our members, policymakers, and other external stakeholders to influence hydrogen policy through objective, evidence-based positions.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with the CEO and Head of Policy to develop and execute Hydrogen UK's ambitious agenda. Lead working groups, partnering with members to formulate policy positions and address industry challenges. Work alongside members and our team of policy and economic analysts to create consultation responses, reports, and thought leadership pieces. Represent Hydrogen UK and its members at various events and conferences, delivering presentations and participating in panel discussions. Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers across the industry and governmental levels.

Candidate Qualifications

Essential Requirements
Ideal candidates will possess:

A degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience. Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders. Familiarity with hydrogen technologies and their significance in the energy transition. Strong organizational abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines. Experience in line management is a plus. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in engaging with a variety of stakeholders, including policymakers and industry leaders. Proficient communication skills, encompassing written, verbal, and numerical competencies, along with practical experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
