About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Policy Advisor to join our International Central Government Team at AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch). As a Senior Policy Advisor, you will play a key role in leading our engagements with senior public sector customers, driving government modernization and transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Government Transformation Programs: Work with our customers to help them accelerate their modernization and reform programs, identifying common government-specific solutions that will accelerate transformation and initiating their development and deployment.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Build strong, long-term relationships across public sector organizations, supporting them as they build digital government.
  • Travel and Collaboration: Travel required in this role is 30-40%, collaborating with our customers and teams to drive transformation and modernization.
About the Team

The International Central Government Team is a small worldwide practice that helps our customers accelerate their reform and modernization programs. We work with executive and operational leaders in public service, and at the core of the team are former public service executives who have led nation-scale digital transformations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Senior Government Experience: Experience in a senior government decision-making role, or in a nation-scale regulated industry (banking, utilities) is essential.
  • Transformation Experience: 8+ years of experience in leading government transformation programs, with a track record of building rapport with senior customer executives.
  • Financial Modeling and Business Case Development: 8+ years of experience in financial modeling, business case development, and treasury policy.
