We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy Advisor to lead our policy work focusing on early childhood education at UNICEF UK.

As a member of the UK Policy and Advocacy team, this role will be responsible for developing and delivering an effective influencing strategy based on robust evidence and persuasive policy asks that help protect and promote the physical and mental health and wellbeing of babies and young children living in the UK.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing policy strategies to promote early childhood education and health.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the Advocacy and Programmes Departments to develop and deliver a comprehensive influencing strategy.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on policy and advocacy matters related to early childhood education and health.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and partners to build a strong coalition in support of UNICEF UK's policy objectives.

Requirements for the role include:

  • An in-depth understanding of policy-making processes and influencing strategies.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • A good understanding of the policy context of early childhood health and/or other UK child wellbeing topic areas.
