About Cedar

Cedar is a leading provider of financial services, seeking a highly skilled Billing Assistant to join their team. This role is a key part of our finance department, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and Review Invoices: Collaborate with our finance team to prepare and review sales invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with our financial policies.
  • Customer Onboarding: Participate in the customer onboarding process, working closely with our account management teams to ensure seamless billing processes.
  • Billing and Reconciliation: Reconcile source data against billed data to verify the accuracy of our manual billing process, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Intercompany Billing: Assist with intercompany billing, raising bills between subsidiaries and ensuring timely payment.
  • Customer Queries: Address customer queries and resolve any issues related to billing, providing excellent communication and customer service.

Requirements:

  • Strong Excel Skills: Proficiency in Excel, including Lookups and Pivot Tables, to analyze and manage large datasets.
  • Financial Background: A background in finance, with experience in reconciling own work and demonstrating workings.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with both finance and non-finance individuals.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a self-motivated and quick learning attitude.

Desirable Experience:

  • Telecoms Billing: Experience in telecoms billing, with knowledge of industry-specific processes and systems.
  • Access Database: Proficiency in Access Database, SalesForce, and NetSuite, with experience in data analysis and management.
