Job Overview

We are currently in search of a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to become a vital part of our Operations team. In this role, you will play a key role in the effective management of warehouse activities, ensuring that all inbound and outbound schedules are executed seamlessly. You will collaborate closely with warehouse personnel, Shift Supervisors, and Shift Managers to maintain an efficient workflow throughout the operational shifts.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off nights

Salary: £29,565 Per Annum

As the chosen candidate, you will directly contribute to the site’s overall success and report to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operations Supervisor include:

  • Overseeing the outbound schedule to ensure timely collection and delivery.
  • Providing clear instructions to staff to maintain an efficient flow of work.
  • Ensuring accuracy in paperwork for outbound vehicles.
  • Communicating any issues to the Shift Manager promptly to minimize disruptions.
  • Serving as the primary contact for drivers arriving on site.
  • Actively participating in the operations team and suggesting improvements for efficiency and quality.
  • Preparing detailed handovers for the next shift, highlighting potential issues and current operations.
  • Releasing work orders for warehouse picking, adhering to special picking protocols.
  • Managing order marshal lanes effectively.
  • Prioritizing tasks within the system.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Warehouse Operations Supervisor position will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks based on scheduling and resources.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
  • In-depth knowledge of on-site operational systems.
  • Experience with Empirica and RF equipment (training will be provided).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A drive for personal and professional growth.
  • Flexibility in work approach and shift patterns to cover for absences.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
