About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our team at GXO Logistics in Birmingham. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for delivering excellent financial services to both our customers and internal management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including weekly and monthly management accounts, to identify variances and trends.
  • Reconcile Balance Sheet control accounts and post monthly charges to the Profit and Loss statement.
  • Investigate and resolve AP/AR queries and discrepancies.
  • Assist the Senior Finance Manager in preparing weekly estimates, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Report key performance indicators and statistical internal data to customers.
Requirements
  • Actively pursuing a professional accountancy qualification, such as CIMA or ACCA.
  • Strong understanding of management accounting principles and systems.
  • Previous experience in a finance role, preferably in a logistics environment.
  • Professional integrity and ability to meet deadlines.
