About the Role:

NHS Grampian is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our Drug and Alcohol Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing assessment, care, support, and treatment interventions to individuals experiencing substance use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a safe, caring, and respectful environment for clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans to address substance use and mental health needs.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions and support to clients, including counseling, education, and advocacy.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community agencies to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with Part 3 of the NMC Register.
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing substance use and mental health issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
