About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our Drug and Alcohol Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, care, support, and treatment interventions to individuals experiencing substance use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to individuals with substance use issues, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, identifying individual needs and developing personalized care plans to support recovery and well-being.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including counseling, education, and support, to promote positive behavior change and improve health outcomes.
  • Work closely with community partners, including social services, housing providers, and other healthcare organizations, to ensure seamless care coordination and support.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the development of policies, procedures, and best practices in substance use treatment and care.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with Part 3 of the NMC Register.
  • Experience working with individuals with substance use issues, including assessment, treatment, and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including individuals, families, and community partners.
  • Strong knowledge of substance use and mental health issues, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
