About the Role:

Halcyon Health & Social Care is partnering with a family-owned children's residential care provider to find a talented Senior Support Worker who is passionate about caring for children with varying needs.

Company Overview:

The company, established in 2017, has grown from a single children's home to multiple locations throughout the Midlands and Southwest, each offering unique therapeutic care programs and specializing in caring for children with emotional behavioral disorders, learning disabilities, and complex needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the management team to ensure the safe and effective running of the home on a day-to-day basis.
  • Take the lead in proactively ensuring safeguarding practices are followed and work collaboratively with the team to promote the welfare of the young people.
  • Oversee, supervise, and actively participate in key working and case management of the children and young people, providing opportunities for growth and development.
  • Maintain and assist in the development of robust quality assurance, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a children's residential setting.
  • Either studying for or having obtained an NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce.
  • Desirable but not essential: UK driving license and a car for emergency situations.
