Key Responsibilities- This role combines organic business growth and new business development:
- A portfolio of around 40-60 customers needs to be managed and nurtured, equating to around £4,000,000 - £5,000,000
- Regular visits to a major account will be required to understand their needs and requirements.
- Dealing with new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, services prospection, negotiation, and commercial follow-up of UK customers and expansion into targeted markets.
- Participating in the team to ensure department targets are achieved and exceeded.
- Active involvement in the development of the sales budget, monitoring revenue and margins, promoting the company image, and improving company initiatives.
- Conducting weekly reports on customer visits, pipeline, sales projections, etc.
- Providing excellent communication channels both internally and externally.
- A minimum of 3-6 years+ experience in packaging and the stated markets.
- Experience in setting own short, medium, and long-term new business targets, as well as a strategic approach and consultative approach to the role.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of around £3,000,000 - £5,000,000 and hit a sales target of £250,000 - £500,000.
- Strong understanding of the UK market.
- Ability to develop new business opportunities and build on successes.
- Nurturing existing accounts.
- Improving gross margins.
- Sense of business relationships and customer service.
- High interest in the technical dimension of products.
