In your daily responsibilities, you will be part of the support team, primarily handling second-line support tasks for both internal and external clients. This role requires you to manage support tickets efficiently and resolve issues as they arise. While advanced skills are not a prerequisite, you will collaborate closely with senior team members and escalate issues when necessary.

You will engage with various applications and tools, assisting in the identification, development, and testing of logistics systems. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in IT operations and learn about diverse business practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide second-line support for logistics systems.
  • Acquire knowledge about the company's business and technical applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for system changes.
  • Develop and maintain Unix Shell scripts.
  • Integrate both internal and external systems.
  • Generate reports for stakeholders and document system modifications in line with company standards.

Essential Qualifications:

  • IT graduate with a minimum of 2:1 classification.
  • Familiarity with databases, preferably Oracle or SQL.
  • Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux and some experience with Shell scripting.
  • Understanding of logistics systems, with some experience in systems analysis and application support.
  • Proficiency in report writing tools such as iReports or Jaspersoft Studio.
  • Strong communication skills, with prior experience in a customer-facing technical support role.
  • Full UK Driver's license is essential for occasional site visits.
