Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team at Randstad Technologies. As an Application Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting and delivering services to our global IT team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish strong relationships with process stakeholders to understand and prioritize issues, work items, initiatives, and projects that deliver value. Create specifications, process/data maps, and use cases. Challenge the status quo.
  • Identify, track and resolve application problems on a day-to-day basis, including evening and weekend support, as required. Coordinate the problem resolution process.
  • Responsible for your application environments to support unit, regression, and user acceptance testing. Work with other Analysts on designing and operating data interfaces and APIs.
  • Work with IT teams, vendors, and departments to champion data integrity and reliability through education and monitoring. Mentor junior IT members.
  • Support the new vessel onboarding process.
  • Administer routine and non-routine procedures for application use and security access; monitors KPIs and gathers performance metrics for the systems assigned.
  • Create or update standardized application support documentation.
  • Coordinate with the global Vessel Systems Support group to test, implement, and support solutions on the vessels.
  • Work with the Analytics team in identifying table relationships and data behavior within your supported system; to improve integrations and data quality within the data warehouse.
  • Develop reports and dashboards, in conjunction with business stakeholders, to assist in identifying KPIs and data trends.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience of working with process owners and providing second level operational support for large business applications.
  • Experience with RFPs, and a full application life cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt; to understand business usage of the system and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous quality improvement, management information systems techniques, and change control procedures.
  • Results and deadline driven with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks in a timely manner, with minimum guidance or prompting.
  • Proactive, dependable and positive attitude.
  • Coordinating application deployments across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Solid SQL querying experience, and experience with report/dashboard writing software such as PowerBI.
  • Proficiency with supporting Marine ERP suites (ie Nautical Systems, Compas) an asset.
  • Requirement to provide support remotely and in different time zones.
  • Occasional requirement to travel to regional offices and to vessels to service software, as needed.

Benefits Package

  • £40,000 - £45,000 basic salary
  • Hybrid working. Although you are welcome to work in our office full time, you are able to work from home up to 2 days per week.
