We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our Intensive Care team at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to patients and their families, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of our clinical strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and lead a team of clinical psychologists in the Intensive Care unit, providing clinical supervision and guidance as needed.
- Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care to patients and their families.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our service's policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the evaluation of our service's effectiveness.
- Doctoral level qualification in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Post-doctoral training in an additional specialized area of psychological practice.
- Senior management/leadership training and experience.
- Extensive experience of working as a qualified practitioner psychologist in a relevant setting.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of patient groups across the whole life course and presenting with the full range of clinical severity.
- Experience of professional management and supervision of qualified and pre-qualified applied psychologists.
- Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for patients' psychological care and treatment.
- Experience of representing psychology in multi-professional settings.
- Experience of formal teaching, training, and professional and clinical supervision of psychologists.
- Experience of teaching and training of other professionals.
- Experience of maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems.
- Experience of multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Experience in the application of more than one treatment model in clinical health psychology.
- Substantial experience of highly specialist psychotherapeutic assessment and treatment of patients.
- Experience of service development.
- Experience of the application of psychology in different cultural contexts.
- Experience of work in a multi-cultural setting, including working with interpreters.
- Experience of successful clinical leadership.
- Experience of supporting junior colleagues to plan and develop their careers.
