About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 8C Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for managing the ICU psychologists and working clinically in the Royal Free Hospital ICU.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a team of psychologists in the ICU setting
  • Work clinically with patients and their families in the ICU
  • Develop and implement clinical services and programs to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs
  • Provide supervision and training to junior staff members
  • Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Doctoral level qualification in Clinical Psychology
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Post-doctoral training in an additional specialized area of psychological practice
  • Senior management/leadership training
  • Extensive experience in clinical health psychology, including working with patients with complex mental health needs
  • Experience in service development, quality improvement, and leadership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
