About the Role:

The role will primarily be based in a central location, with occasional travel required to various sites across the UK and offshore.

Key Responsibilities:

The Mechanical Assembly Technician will be tasked with the assembly, upkeep, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and components. This position is crucial for ensuring that all mechanical apparatus operates efficiently, safely, and dependably.

  • Assemble and install mechanical systems and components in accordance with engineering specifications and technical documentation.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical equipment, including but not limited to pumps, valves, conveyors, and gears.
  • Execute precision alignment and adjustments of machinery to guarantee optimal functionality.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and rectify mechanical issues.
  • Establish and adhere to preventive maintenance schedules to mitigate potential issues and prolong equipment lifespan.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance and repair activities, including service reports and equipment histories.
  • Comply with safety regulations and practices, ensuring all mechanical systems are safe for operation.
  • Engage in continuous training and professional development to stay informed about new equipment models, technologies, and maintenance methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a mechanical or hydraulic environment.
  • Exhibits a high standard of work in all tasks associated with the role of Mechanical Assembly Technician.
  • Possesses relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanical assembly or a related field.
