About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Eden Scott. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of mechanical systems and equipment for the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and equipment for the oil and gas industry
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets client specifications and regulatory standards
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering calculation packages and design reports
  • Conduct design reviews and approve fabrication/manufacture/assembly drawings
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on design and development best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve design and development processes

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in design role, preferably in the oil and gas industry
  • Experience in design of fabricated structures for offshore/subsea environment to DNV standards
  • Experience using modeling software (Solidworks, AutoCAD) and FEA software (Solidworks, ANSYS)
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic drive systems, subsea controls systems, and ATEX design advantageous
