Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidates will possess a time-served background and a minimum of an SVQ Level 3 engineering qualification.
These roles are primarily workshop-based, and applicants must be prepared to provide trade documentation upon request.
Job Purpose
The primary responsibility is to install, service, and maintain hydraulic and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings related to mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Utilize measuring and recording instruments effectively.
- Work with high-pressure systems and associated equipment.
- Conduct servicing and repairs of machinery as necessary.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues with equipment.
- Overhaul and test pumps, motors, and control valves.
- Generate comprehensive service reports and maintain precise records, ensuring all documentation, testing procedures, risk assessments, and toolbox talks are completed to a high standard.
- Provide assistance to other trades and disciplines as needed.
