Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to join our vehicle repair and maintenance team at Connect Appointments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work on a modern fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify problems and report them to the Workshop Manager
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including relevant paperwork and documentation
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to health and safety
  • Ensure a clean and tidy work environment is maintained at all times

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic or vehicle technician
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Punctuality, reliability, and flexibility are essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and basic computer skills
  • Desirable experience within a mechanic/vehicle technician role is advantageous

Benefits:

  • Starting salary of £35,000 per year
  • Overtime, enhanced rates, and other benefits
  • Weekend on-call payments of £80, with double time for all hours worked and a guaranteed minimum of 2 hours paid

Working Hours:

  • Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm (with an early Friday finish)
  • Back Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm to 11pm (with an early Friday finish) & Saturday 7am to 12pm
