Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
1. Collaborate with the Dyson School of Design Engineering and the Faculty of Engineering.
2. Serve as Co-Director of the Centre for Sectoral Economic Performance (CSEP), working alongside an appointed Chair and Co-Director from the Business School.
3. Drive the Centre's mission to enhance the global competitiveness of the UK's high-value science and technology industries.
Strategic Leadership
The Co-Director will:
- Develop and implement the Centre's strategic initiatives to foster innovation and productivity.
- Engage in research translation activities and ensure compliance with governance processes.
- Report directly to the Deans of the Faculty of Engineering and the Business School, as well as the University President and the Centre's Strategic Advisory Board.
Candidate Profile
We seek candidates with:
- Extensive leadership experience in industry or academia, particularly within technology sectors.
- A proven track record in developing strategies that enhance competitiveness at various levels.
- The ability to influence governmental policy and engage with stakeholders effectively.
