  • You will ensure that quality systems are effectively managed in alignment with service excellence.
  • You will oversee and manage project plans from inception through design development, contractor procurement, and the construction phase, adhering to the overall delivery schedule and established project milestones.
  • You will assist senior project managers and other leaders in managing tasks and deliverables, collaborating with the broader project and client teams to ensure timely and precise project delivery.
  • You will determine and coordinate project technical services and external resources required for the projects.
  • You will achieve project objectives in accordance with the Project Plan, leading and supervising project teams and relevant stakeholders to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • You will update and maintain project plans throughout the project lifecycle.
  • You will manage intermediate tasks and deliverables and support senior project managers in ensuring timely and accurate project and program management operations, collaborating with the client, design team, and other consultants and contractors.
  • You will monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring diligent management and successful project delivery while identifying risks, challenges, and mitigation strategies.
  • You will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure robust quality systems are in place and effectively managed in accordance with Mace Way/Service Excellence.
  • You will participate in and document relevant meetings, providing contextual information and analysis to relevant parties, including regular site inspections.
  • You will partner with stakeholders and actively engage in risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • You will effectively coordinate and communicate with all project parties/stakeholders, ensuring the completion of responsibilities and maintaining suitable standards and records.
  • You will be responsible for procuring consultants and contractors to meet client needs.
  • You will document and manage project changes as necessary, tracking modifications and ensuring they are processed within agreed timeframes.
  • You will ensure all approved handover documentation is organized and provided prior to project completion.
  • You will promote and advance business priorities through Construction to Production, Digital & Data, and Responsible Business practices.
  • You will manage design, consultant, contractor, and supply chain teams, ensuring effective completion of responsibilities, including project scope, fees, processing claims, deliverables, and project variations.
  • You will produce (or collaborate with a planner to produce) design and authority programs to be integrated with procurement and delivery schedules.
  • You will constructively challenge clients, stakeholders, and internal and external teams to deliver optimal solutions.
  • You will actively seek understanding and utilize the Centre of Excellence (CoE) knowledge base, the Mace Way Control Centre, the Knowledge Hub, and best practices within the company.
  • You will work collaboratively towards the common goal of achieving net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for proactively identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project management, overseeing small to medium-sized projects.
  • Developed communication, presentation, and project planning skills (using appropriate tools).
  • Developing expertise in budget oversight.
  • Advanced proficiency in communication, coordination, and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Proven understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to support client focus.
  • Proactively manage internal budgets and fees (where applicable), delivering agreed outcomes.
  • Proven competency in understanding construction methodologies and sequencing.
  • Proficient knowledge and expertise in the specific sector/market of the project/role.
  • Relevant technical qualifications/certifications for project portfolios (or equivalent).
  • Sound technical expertise in Health and Safety Executive (HSE) (or local equivalent) regulations relevant to the project portfolio.
  • Knowledge of consultancy, construction, infrastructure, and property sectors/markets, along with an understanding of estimating, scheduling, contract administration, procurement, commercial controls, and reporting.
  • Seeks opportunities for implementing improved working practices.

  • Manages relevant stakeholders for projects.

  • MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE (or working towards) or local equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a project management (or equivalent) role.
  • Developing experience in the construction delivery phase of projects.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related (project management and/or construction-related discipline), non-related degree, or equivalent professional experience/apprenticeship, combined with demonstrable intermediate knowledge of the role.
  • Appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card (or local equivalent).

Additional Qualifications:

  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programs in the construction sector.
  • Expertise in property or infrastructure project management.
  • Commercial and financial acumen.
  • Experience working on projects within large, diverse teams.
  • Experience in developing and fostering relationships with other stakeholders within projects.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will influence the projects you are involved in.
