We are looking for a passionate and skilled officer to enhance our environmental efforts. This essential role will support our sustainability objectives and contribute to the council's overarching climate goals.
Role Overview
In this crucial position, you will assist in formulating the council's new climate change strategy and spearhead climate-related projects and programs in collaboration with local communities and stakeholders. Your efforts will be vital in achieving net-zero emissions and enhancing climate resilience in West Oxfordshire. Additionally, you will partner with various internal teams to integrate climate considerations into their operations and promote carbon reduction initiatives aimed at achieving organizational carbon neutrality by 2030.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking an individual with a background in climate science, environmental studies, sustainability, or a related discipline, who possesses experience in climate action. The ideal candidate will be proactive, with strong initiative and advanced skills in problem-solving, organizational and project management, and stakeholder engagement. A genuine passion for tackling climate change is essential.
