About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwife to join our team as a Delivery Suite Coordinator. This is a 12-month secondment position that will provide an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated midwife to develop their skills and expertise in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist midwifery expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Coordinate the holistic needs of patients, ensuring that their care is tailored to their individual requirements.
  • Develop and implement programs of care to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  • Participate in the selection, interviewing, and induction of new staff members.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of maternity services guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
  • NMC Registered midwife with a strong background in labour ward care.
  • Proven organizational and management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and patients.
  • Ability to exercise professional accountability and responsibility, with a strong commitment to patient safety and well-being.
  • Flexibility to work across all shift patterns and to cover all areas of the maternity service.
