About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced midwife to join our team as a Developmental Labour Ward Coordinator at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. This is a 12-month secondment position that will provide an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic midwife to develop their skills and expertise in a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective midwifery services to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to midwives and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient experience and satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure best practice and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of quality improvement projects.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior midwives and students to ensure their professional development and growth.
Requirements
- Registered midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Proven experience in midwifery leadership and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and cover all shift patterns.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of midwifery practice and policies, including the Midwives Rules and Code of Practice.
