Role Overview

As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will spearhead resident involvement initiatives throughout the department, offering support, leadership, and guidance to the team of Resident Participation Officers.

Key Responsibilities


You will collaborate with senior management to ensure a comprehensive approach to resident engagement, contributing to the planning of the annual resident conference and working to broaden informal engagement avenues for residents.

You should possess a thorough understanding of various resident participation frameworks, including resident management organizations. A genuine commitment to resident empowerment and a solid grasp of relevant legislation are crucial.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with confidence in public speaking and facilitating meetings, are vital for this position. Experience working with residents in diverse cultural settings is also essential.

Regular participation in meetings outside standard working hours is a fundamental aspect of this role.


Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • Proficient in drafting detailed correspondence and reports on a variety of topics.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues and residents.
  • Ability to devise creative and innovative strategies for community engagement.
  • Willingness to attend meetings and respond to urgent situations outside of regular hours.
