About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our External Affairs Team as an External Affairs Officer. This role plays a critical part in helping us produce and develop our outputs, focusing on policy, influencing, and public affairs activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the FSRH Hatfield Vision achieves its aims to improve reproductive healthcare for all, and assisting the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare (SRH) with its programme of activity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake policy, influencing, and public affairs activities to promote the FSRH's goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, healthcare professionals, and other relevant organizations.
  • Contribute to the development of policy briefs, reports, and other materials to support the FSRH's advocacy efforts.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of events, conferences, and other activities to promote the FSRH's work and goals.
  • Provide support to the External Affairs Team in the development and implementation of the FSRH's External Affairs Strategy.
Requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong interest in healthcare policy and a passion for improving society. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working in policy, public affairs, campaigning, or a related field.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to engage policymakers and other stakeholders.
  • A broad understanding of communications techniques and strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership working.
